Monster Cake

For one of the ladies at my work I made a 1st birthday cake for her son Hudson. He was having a little monsters theme so I made this cake for him. As eating large pieces of cake is a little difficult for children I also made the little monster faces below to put on cupcakes that are more manageable for little people.

MTG Mana Cupcakes

These cupcakes were a heap of fun to make. It was my friend Geoff's 30th birthday this year in August and his beautiful lady organised a surprise party for him. I volunteered to make the cupcakes.

I actually got to use a brand new toy that I purchased for cutting patterns in icing on this project. I used chocolate modelling paste rolled out super thin with a pasta machine then let my toy cut it all out for me.  It was totally wonderful :)

Duckies on a pond

at my work we have a lunch whenever a person has their birthday, I decided that for my lunch I wanted to take along a cake.

I went with a duck theme, I have never actually sat down and made a cake for myself before, it was really fun and relaxing as I didn't need to worry about making sure it was perfect or the worry that it would not be 100% as the person wanted. I loved it :)

Baby Bum Cake

This was a white chocolate mud cake that I made for my friend Kelly's baby shower.
it was delicious and cute not much more needed to be said about this one :)

Cake of Thrones.... you eat or you die!!!

I made this cake for Cal's Birthday in 2013. it was a simple mud cake that I decorated like a shield.

at that point I had not watched the series, all I knew of it was that house Stark was the best and the Dire Wolf was their house crest so I put it in the middle of the shield.

Mini Burlesque Cake

Burlesque cake that I made to take to a Burlesque themed Birthday party. This was a small gluten free cake so that a few people who couldn't eat gluten could also have cake. The top hat was designed so that it can actually be worn, it has a small hair clip on the inside :)

Blue O'Lantern

Halloween 2012 I decided to take a risk and try my hand at carving a pumpkin.

Behold the Blue O'Lantern. I think it turned out very well for a first attempt :)
